s

Honolulu, Hawaii--- Loea Corporation marked another milestone with today’s announcement of its L1000 system receiving Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification. Loea is the only company offering products with “multi-rate” capability in the 71-76 and 81-86 GHz licensed band that is FCC certified. Loea’s L1000 radio system is capable of transporting SONET (e.g. OC-3, OC-12), Ethernet (e,g, 100BaseFX, 1000BaseX) or other standard or proprietary data rates between 125 Megabits per second and 1.5 Gigabits per second without requiring a change in hardware or software. The “multi-rate” capability allows Loea to tailor the product to a customer’s needs. The L1000 has a 10 inch lens, small footprint and form factor which provides more mounting options than any product available in its class reducing both installation time and cost.

Introduced to the market in August 2007, the L1000 is popular with customers needing short deployment ranges over a wide range of applications. Early customers include major telecommunications companies, enterprise wireless architecture providers, and cellular & data backhaul system integrators.

“The FCC certification is another reason why customers choose the Loea product line over our competition,” stated Admiral Tom Fargo, USN (Ret), Chairman and CEO of Loea Corporation. “The FCC certification means our L1000 has undergone regulated E-band testing and it meets standards specified by the U.S. Government. Our customers can buy our wireless units with confidence that all of our products are safe, tested, and certified.”

Loea’s information is publicly available on the FCC website. Any company FCC certified will have its information readily available at www.fcc.gov.

The list price for the L1000 is set at $24,000 U.S. Loea’s current products, L2700 and L1000, support full duplex data rates up to 1.5 Gigabits per second. In addition to standard gigabit Ethernet, Loea’s products support Distributed Antenna System transport, uncompressed High Definition Television feed, and other proprietary protocols. Loea’s products can be used for Enterprise Connectivity, Cellular and Wi-Max/WiFi Backhaul, Remote Data Storage, First Responder Communications, and other applications where Loea can provide a low cost alternative or backup to fiber optic connections.
